
Carlos is a Venezuelan-born cinematographer of Spanish descent who came to the United States to pursue a degree in Architecture. After completing his studies, he discovered a passion for visual storytelling and went on to earn a Master’s degree in Cinematography from the American Film Institute. His AFI thesis film, Last Breeze of Summer, received an Academy Award nomination, launching a dynamic and enduring career in film and television.

His cinematography credits span a wide range of genres and formats. He has lensed major network hits such as Grey’s Anatomy for Shonda Rhimes (ABC), The New Normal for Ryan Murphy (NBC), and Robert Rodríguez’s From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series. His work reflects both visual versatility and a deep understanding of narrative tone.

With extensive international experience, Carlos has worked on location in Italy, Mexico, Spain, Romania, Argentina, Israel, and beyond. He holds citizenship in the United States, Spain (EU), and Venezuela, and is also a Permanent Resident of Canada.

Carlos is a member of the Directors Guild of America (DGA), the International Cinematographers Guild (ICG) in both the U.S. and Canada, and the Society of Venezuelan Cinematographers (SVC). After three decades in Los Angeles, he is now based in Vancouver, Canada.
